You may then use this drive to create an image of your games. Note, you will need a DVD writer to write the images to disk. It is very simple to ensure none of your discs get damaged by creating a backup copy.

All you need is the LG GDR-8161B, GDR-8162B, GDR-8163B or GDR-8164B drive for your PC and a dvd writer. With this you can backup your discs and they will run on your modded Wii.
